Nadehi sugar mill breaks 44 years old sugar recovery record

Kashipur: Nadehi mill has set a new record of sugar recovery rate breaking its earlier record of 44 years. The mill has produced 2,79,695 quintal sugar after operating 132 days in the ongoing cane crushing season.

According to the news report published in Livehindustan.com, the mill had set a target of crushing 28 lakh quintal sugarcane. The mill has achieved a record 10.95 per cent recovery rate by crushing 25 lakh quintal sugarcane less than the set target. The recovery is 0.12 per cent more than the last year’s recovery rate. For the first time in 44 years, the mill has recorded the highest recovery rate.

C M Imlal, manager of the mill said that the mill operated for 152 days during the last crushing season and had crushed 28 lakh quintal sugarcane with a recovery rate of 10.83 per cent. This year the mill operated for 132 days and crushed less cane compared with last season.
