Kanpur: Three senior technical officers of PT PG Rajawali Sugar Group, Indonesia, Mr. Eriich Hariyanto, Mr. Hary Susastra and Mr. Hasfi Maulana arrived at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur for undertaking a specially designed training programme of six week’s duration. The training programme being conducted is a part of Memorandum of Understanding signed between the two organizations earlier in July 2023 at Surabaya, Indonesia.
There was lack in productivity from farm to factory and hence we suggested short and long term measures to the officials of PT PG Rajawali Sugar Group for improving the efficiencies at grey areas. As the efficiencies at factories was wanting as reflected from higher energy consumptions, higher losses of sugar during processing and higher cost of production of sugar, we suggested for phase wise modernization of the sugar factories with production of sugar suiting to present day market requirements, said Shri Narendra Mohan, Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur.
For implementing the projects, it was considered essential that the senior technical staff should be imparted exposure about the modern technology and therefore the first batch of training programme has been organized where after giving two week’s of theoretical training, the Indonesian officials shall undertake practical training in two modern sugar plants under the watchful eyes of institute faculty, added Director, National Sugar Institute.
We will be focusing on imparting knowledge about production of raw-refined and other sugars and on use of modern energy efficient processing equipment. Idea about standard operating procedures and on water & energy conservation shall also be given, said Mr. Mahendra Yadav, Course Convener.
