NCP chief Sharad Pawar expresses willingness to provide expertise to government to ensure smooth functioning of Sanjivani Sugar Factory

Panjim: NCP chief Sharad Pawar has offered to provide the expertise to the Goa government to revive the Sanjivani sugar mill and ensure its smooth functioning.

NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar, who is in Goa, chaired the party’s State executive council meeting in Panjim on Wednesday. NCP State Chief Jose Philip D’Souza and MLA Churchill Alemao were present.

The factory located at Dharbandora is the only sugar factory in the state. It is reeling under financial stress due to maintenance and old machinery problems. In last season, the mill failed to operate and the government had sent state’s cane to the sugar mill in Karnataka for crushing.
