Kathmandu, Nepal: Sugarcane farmers claim that despite the commitment to clear cane dues after selling sugar, the sugar mills failed to fulfil its promise. According to the media report, sugar mills are yet to clear dues worth more than Rs 500 million.

According to the sugarcane farmers, sugar mills are delaying the payments citing lockdown as a reason and shortage of finance.
