NSI to help Indonesia’s firm to enhance and modernize their sugar units

National Sugar Institute, Kanpur signed a MoU with M/s PT PG Rajwali Group of Indonesia in a ceremony organized at Surabaya, Indonesia. The MoU was signed by Prof. Narendra Mohan, Director, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur and Ms. Nanik Soelistyowati, Director (Operations) of the sugar business of M/s PT PG Rajwali Group of Indonesia in the presence of Mrs. Jyotsna Gupta, Deputy Secretary, Government of India and other dignitaries.

As per the MoU, National Sugar Institute, Kanpur will undertake training of the technical manpower required for the group sugar factories through Customized Training Programmes to be organized at factory site in Indonesia and at National Sugar Institute, Kanpur. National Sugar Institute shall also help M/s PT PG Rajwali Group of in efficiency enhancement and modernization of their sugar units besides advising on production of value added products from waste.

We earlier conducted a training programme exclusively for M/s PT PG Rajwali Group of Indonesia where upon looking to the benefits accruing out of it, the company management desired to enter into a long term association with National Sugar Institute, said Prof. Narendra Mohan, Director, National Sugar Institute.

National Sugar Institute would be able to address our dire need of providing technical training to the staff about the standard operating procedures for operation and latest technology available to achieve benchmark productivities, said Ms. Nanik Soelistyowati, Director (Operations).

The team of National Sugar Institute is visiting our sugar units also to observe the present status with regard to plant and machinery and competency of manpower. This will help in drawing a road map for implementation during the next five years, said Mr. Dani Daniyanto, President-Director of the Indonesian company.
