Pakistan: 16,000 tonnes of hoarded sugar recovered from mills

Lahore: Pakistan government seems stern on sugar mills over sugar hoarding. In the latest action, the Tiger Force recovered 16,000 tonnes of hoarded sugar from different mills in Pakistan’s Punjab on Monday. The force acted on a tip-off and conducted the raid.

Prime Minister Imran Khan had stated that strict action will be taken against the sugar hoarders. He has asked the authorities to sell sugar at an affordable rate. Also, the administration is taking strict action against those selling sugar at high prices.
