Pakistan government decides to reverse sales tax to the ex-mill rate till November 30

Islamabad: Keeping in view reducing the sugar prices, the government has decided to reverse the sale tax to the ex-mill rate till November 30, 2021. The decision was taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan in a meeting organised to review the prices of essential commodities on Monday.

It was also decided in the meeting that the ministries of industries and finance would review the requirement of sugar and its import in future.
The prime minister issued directions to the chief secretaries to ensure that the prices of the essential daily items are fixed and implemented accordingly.

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had earlier slammed the ruling Imran Khan government for increasing prices of petroleum and essential commodities in the country.
