Saharanpur: Rashtriya Lok Dal has raised the issue of pending cane dues and handed over the memorandum of their demands addressed to the chief minister to the government officials,reports Live Hindustan.
Rav Kaiser Salim, district unit head of RLD said sugar mills in the district owe cane dues to farmers and delay in cane payments are increasing financial stress on farmers. The government should take steps to force sugar mills to clear pending cane dues at the earliest, he said.
