Romanian chocolate and sweets maker suspends operations as workers found positive for Covid-19

Kandia, the largest chocolate and sweet maker of Romania has stopped the operations at its plant located in Bucharest after 20 employees were tested positive for coronavirus.

In a statement issued by the factory, it stated that “Out of respect for the procedures in place and acting as a precaution to limit any possible spreading of the virus, we have decided to close the factory and test all the company’s employees.”

Kandia Dulce, the producer of sweets like pastries, biscuits, chocolates and sugar products is one of the largest and oldest sweet producers of Romania.
