Saudi Arabia floats tender to purchase 595,000 tonnes of wheat

Hamburg: Saudi Grains Organisation (SAGO), the apex wheat purchasing agency of Saudi Arabia, has issued an international tender to purchase 595,000 tonnes of wheat, said European traders, reports Reuters.

As per the tender issued on Thursday, the deadline for submissions of price offers is Nov. 11, informed traders.

The commodity is expected to arrive in Saudi Arabia between April and June 2023.

As per the tender, the country needs hard wheat, with 12.5% protein, in a series of 60,000-tonne and 55,000-tonne consignments. They stated that about 180,000 tonnes of wheat should arrive in each of the three ports of Damman, Yanbu and Jeddah between April 10 and June 25.
