Sensex ends 214 points lower; Nifty nears 11,250

Mumbai: After the increase in coronavirus cases in India, the market also witnessed scare of it. Sensex closed on March 4, 2020 at 214.22 points lower at 38,409.48. Similarly, Nifty ended 49.10 points low at 11,254.20.

In the previous season, Sensex closed on March 3, 2020 at 479.68 points higher at 38,623.70. Similarly, Nifty ended 170.55 points high at 11,303.30.

Cipla, Dr Reddy’s Labs, Power Grid, Sun Pharma and GAIL were among major gainers on the Nifty, while losers were Yes Bank, Eicher Motors, Bajaj Finance, Tata Motors and ITC.

The rupee is trading at 73.287 against the dollar.
