Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended higher today. Sensex closed on 05th October at 445.56 points higher at 59,744.88. Nifty ended 131.05 points higher at 17,822.30.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 04th October at 533.74 points higher at 59,299.32. Nifty ended 159.20 points higher at 17,691.25.
ONGC, IndusInd Bank, Coal India, IOC and Bharti Airtel were among the major gainers on the Nifty. Cipla, Hindalco, Shree Cements, Sun Pharma and Tata Consumer Products were among the big losers.
