Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed lower today. Sensex closed on 12th March at 487.43 points lower at 50,792.08. Nifty ended 143.85 points low at 15,030.95.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 10th March at 254.03 points lower at 51,279.51. Nifty ended 76.40 points high at 15,174.80.
Bajaj Auto, Hindalco, SBI Life Insurance, HDFC Life and Maruti Suzuki were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were BPCL, IOC, Power Grid Corporation, JSW Steel and Titan Company.
