The domestic benchmark indices ended higher on January 24.
Sensex ended 689.77 points higher at 71,060.31, whereas Nifty concluded 215.15 points up at 21,453.95.
Top gainers on the Nifty were Hindalco Industries, Dr Reddy’s Laboratories, Tata Steel, Power Grid Corporation and HCL Technologies, while losers included ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Asian Paints, Adani Ports and HDFC Life.
In the previous season, Sensex ended 1,053.10 points lower at 70,370.55, whereas Nifty concluded 333.00 points down at 21,238.80.
