Mumbai: Benchmark indices closed lower today. Sensex closed on 27 January at 937.66 points lower at 47,409.93. Nifty ended 271.40 points low at 13,967.50.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 25 January at 530.95 points lower at 48,347.59. Nifty ended 133.00 points low at 14,238.90.
Tata Motors, Axis Bank, Tata Steel, GAIL and Titan Company were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were Tech Mahindra, SBI Life Insurance, Wipro, ITC and Power Grid Corp.
