Sensex gives up gains, turns red; Nifty nears 17,800

Mumbai: Equity benchmark Sensex jumped over 100 points in early trade on Wednesday.

The 30-share Sensex was trading 12.06 points lower at 59,732.82. Similarly, the Nifty rose 11.50 points to 17,810.80.

M&M was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by SBI, NTPC, Bajaj Finance, HDFC, UltraTech Cement and PowerGrid.

On the other hand, Titan, IndusInd Bank, Dr Reddy’s, Maruti and Reliance were among the laggards.
