Equity benchmark Sensex jumped over 150 points in opening trade on Wednesday. After swinging nearly 300 points in early trade, at 10:22 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading 203.52 points higher at 46,210.21.
After a similar movement, the broader NSE Nifty advanced 64.15 points to 13,530.45.
Infosys was the top gainer in the Sensex pack followed by HCL Tech, Maruti, Tech Mahindra, TCS, M&M and Titan.
On the other hand, ONGC, NTPC, Axis Bank, HDFC, ICICI Bank and L&T were among the laggards.
