Sensex opens higher; Nifty above 11,700

Mumbai: Equity benchmark BSE Sensex rebounded in opening deals on Friday, led by intense buying mainly in banking and IT counters. At 10:13 am, the 30-share BSE index was trading over 169.06 points lower at 39,897.47, and the broader NSE Nifty fall 47.15 points to 11,727.50.

IndusInd Bank, Tata Steel, Infosys, ONGC, Kotak Bank, NTPC and Bharti Airtel were among prominent gainers.

Sensex closed on October 15, 2020, at 1,066.33 points low at 39,728.41. Nifty ended 290.70 points low at 11,680.35.
