Benchmark indices continued to rise on Tuesday.
At 10:31 am, the 30-share BSE benchmark was trading 618.94 points higher at 53,592.78 points. The broader NSE Nifty gained 192.25 points to 16,034.55 points.
Among the Sensex firms, Tata Steel, Reliance Industries, IndusInd Bank, Larsen & Toubro, ICICI Bank and Maruti were the major gainers in early trade. In contrast, Asian Paints, Sun Pharma, NTPC and Infosys were among the laggards.
