Setting up of ethanol plants beneficial for all including farmers: Chhattisgarh CM

Raipur: Setting up ethanol plants is beneficial for all Union, state governments and farmers, said Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday, reports Daily Pioneer.

The production of ethanol will help in reducing dependence on fossil fuels and would help India save foreign exchange.

He said, “The production of the bio-fuel would cost around just Rs 60 and dependence on fossil fuel will be curbed.”

Recently, addressing a gathering in the state after inaugurating several development projects, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari said that his ministry is focussing on manufacturing ethanol to reduce the dependency on petrol. He urged the state government to focus on green fuel -ethanol production from sugarcane and paddy.
