Small Sugar Recovers On Fresh Demand

Mumbai, Mar 21 (PTI) Small sugar recovers at the Vashi wholesale market here today following fresh demand from stockists and bulk consumers.

Meanwhile, medium sugar slipped due to sluggish demand from stockists and retailers.

Small sugar (S-30) moved up by Rs 3/10 per quintal to Rs 3,045/3,162 from Tuesday’s closing level of Rs 3,042/3,152.

However, medium sugar fell by Rs 20/20 per quintal to Rs 3,150/3,332 as against Rs 3,170/3,352 yesterday.

Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:

Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 3,045/3,162 (Rs 3,042/3,152).

Medium sugar (M-30) quality: Rs 3,150/3,332 (Rs 3,170/3,352). PTI BPD BAL BAL
