Kantale Sugar mill will re-start operations soon, said Susantha Punchinilame, minister of state for Small and Medium Enterprises Development. The decision has been taken after discussing with the Plantation Industries Minister and secretary from the Finance ministry and secretary of President.
Punchinilame said, “The sugar mill commencement will help in generating employment and save money on importing sugar. The dates of commencement of the mill would be revealed during the next parliamentary session.”
