Prices of both the varieties of sugar gained at the Vashi wholesale market today following good demand from stockists and bulk consumers.
Small sugar (S-30) rose by Rs 10/2 per quintal to Rs 2,860/2,942 from last Saturday’s closing level of Rs 2,850/2,940.
Medium sugar (M-30) also moved up by Rs 10 per quintal to Rs 2,956/3,102 as against Rs 2,946/3,102 previously.
Following are today’s closing rates for sugar (per quintal) with the previous rates given in brackets:
Small sugar (S-30) quality: Rs 2,860/2,942 (Rs 2,850/2,940).
