Sugar mills to provide an opportunity to sugarcane farmers to attend Agri Expos across India

Karnal: In order to technical up-gradation of the cane farmers and help them learn new techniques, farmers will be sent to attend the Agri expos to be held across India. Harpal Singh Chika, chairman of Haryana Sugarfed, said that the expenses for this will be borne by the sugar mills.

Speaking with farmers during his tour to Karnal sugar mill, Chika said that farmers should learn new techniques related to sugarcane cultivation using the internet. We will ask all the sugar mills from the state to send farmers to the expos organised in India to increase the technical knowledge of the farmers. The mills can send a delegation of 10 farmers. This will help in increasing the sugarcane yield with the available land.

Farmers are struggling to increase sugarcane production. Attending such expos will help cane growers to learn new techniques and implement them in order to produce cane production. Also, it will aid them to increase their income.
