Sugar prices increase to Rs100/kg or more in various cities of Pakistan

Lahore: The sugar prices have increased to above Rs 100/kg in major cities of the country, informed the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS).

As per the data released by PBS, sugar prices in Karachi were Rs 110 per kg that was the highest in the country. The prices in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi were Rs 105 per kg. The PBS said that the prices of sugar have risen to Rs 100/kg in six cities across the country.

The sugar was sold at Rs 100 per kg in Multan, Sialkot, Bahawalpur and Quetta while it was sold at Rs 98-100 per kg in Hyderabad and it was sold at Rs 98 per kg in Faisalabad.
