Sugarcane farmers threaten to go court if mills fail to clear cane dues

Rudrapur, Uttarakhand: Sugarcane farmers from Uttarakhand have threatened to go to High Court for their pending cane arrears. The demand was raised by Farmers’ leader Dr. Ganesh Upadhyay.

According to the news report published in Live Hindustan, “The financial situation of sugarcane farmers is worsening day by day. The government should take steps to ensure that the sugar mills from the state clear all the pending cane dues.”

“If sugar mils fail to clear cane dues then we will knock the door of High Court,” he further added.
