Union Agriculture Minister inaugurates digital hub for farmers’ empowerment

In a bid to empower farmers nationwide by providing them with digital tools, information, services, and facilities, Union Minister of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare and Tribal Affairs, Arjun Munda, inaugurated the Agriculture Integrated Command and Control Center at Krishi Bhawan in New Delhi.

Munda highlighted that this initiative is a testament to the innovative approach of the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare under the guidance of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. The primary objective is to foster self-reliance among farmers across the country.

Emphasising the Government’s commitment to the principle of “Minimum Government-Maximum Governance” advocated by the Prime Minister, the Minister expressed the importance of ensuring that the lives of common citizens are minimally disrupted. This digital initiative aims to enable farmers to work independently, impartially, and wholeheartedly, ultimately empowering the nation by fostering self-reliance and capability.
Munda said, “The objective of the new initiative is to provide farmers with real-time information about their farms and understand the genuine challenges facing the agriculture sector. By leveraging real-time data and its analysis, we can address their problems promptly, expand their capacity, and enhance crop yields, ultimately benefiting the entire agriculture sector in the country.”
