University of Cape Coast signs MOU with Agrotech Ghana to revive Komenda Sugar mill

The defunct Komenda Sugar mill will be revived soon as the University of Cape Coast (UCC) and Park Agrotech Ghana Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the operationalisation of mill.

According to the news report, it would be effective for three years from the date of the agreement between Park Agrotech Ghana Ltd and the Government of Ghana for the concession of the Komenda Sugar factory. As per the MOU, the University will provide technical and human support to the company to produce the material required for the sustainability of the sugar mill and its processing.

The Park Agrotech Ghana Ltd will provide infrastructure and other material required for the development of the sugar mill to ensure that it is revived and starts operations.
