Uttar Pradesh: Cane Development Department playing important role in giving practical experience to the talented Trainee

Lucknow: Additional Chief Secretary, Sugar Industry and Cane Development, Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy said that according to the demand of the offices and industrial units, provisions have been made by the Government of India to prepare skilled human resources. In the order of instructions given by the Hon’ble Chief Minister to generate employment, an Internship/ Apprenticeship program have been started in various offices of Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department such as Cane Commissioner Office, UP Council of Sugarcane Research, Ganna Kisan Sansthan, UP Co-operative Sugar Factory Federation Ltd., State Sugar Corporation and Co-operative Sugar Mill Federation to provide employment oriented education to the interested trainee in the State.

Giving this information Shri Bhoosreddy said that the students of professional courses/graduate/postgraduate and research level students who have obtained at least 55 percent marks in the last semester may apply for Internship/ Apprenticeship in various discipline. The Internship/ Apprenticeship program includes training in agriculture marketing, accounting, law, computer, sugar technology, engineering, information technology, human resources, statistics and industrial training etc. as per their course requirements. The trainee interested in internship may submit their application on Sugar Industry and Cane Development Department’s website www.upcane.gov.in, online by going to Internship/Apprenticeship tab. This training will be helpful in making them practically skilled, experienced and efficient in case of employment purpose in future.

It was also told by Shri Bhoosreddy that the duration of Internship will be in three phases which will be completed in 21, 30 and 60 days and apprenticeship will be completed in 01 year. At least 90% attendance of the trainee is mandatory during the training period and before being selected as a trainee under the training program, it will be mandatory to give a personal declaration on the prescribed format regarding maintaining the confidentiality of the government office. After the completion of the Internship/Apprenticeship program, each trainee will have to submit a self-evaluation report regarding the work completed. After this, the training certificate will be given to the successful trainees by the concerned institution.

The selection of the trainee for the Internship/Apprenticeship program will be done on the basis of the suitability and qualifications of the candidates, so the applicants will have to apply only under their category, to avoid rejection. The Internship/Apprenticeship program along with developing special skills and providing practical experience regarding their professional courses will introduce students with the working patterns in Government Offices and Subordinate Departments. It will infuse youth with power and innovative ideas along with team spirits in doing their tasks.
