Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath has said that efforts should be made to ensure sugarcane price payment of Rs 8,000 crore within 100 days and the target of Rs 12,000 crore should be set for six months.
“We have set a record by clearing cane dues worth Rs 1,69,153 crore to cane farmers in the last five years. Efforts should be taken to pay 8,000 crores to farmers in 100 days and Rs 1200 crore in six months,” he said.
CM also focused on increasing the sugarcane productivity from the present 81.5 tonnes per hectare to 84 tonnes per hectare in the next five years.
