Hapur, Uttar Pradesh: Sugarcane farmers under the banner of Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU – Bhanu group) have decided to launch an indefinite agitation for the pending cane arrears from September 14. Regarding the same, they have submitted a memorandum to the sugarcane secretary.
BKU’s District President Pawan Hoon said, “The next sugarcane crushing season is around the corner but mills have yet not cleared the dues of the previous season.”
BKU said that now the time has come for us to protest for our demands and will continue our agitation till we get our dues.
