Cane farmers of 80 villages of purchasing center Laliya, Mathura and Shivpura of district Balrampur get right to participate in election of Cooperative Cane Society

Lucknow: Commissioner, Cane and Sugar/Registrar, Cooperative Cane and Sugar Mill Societies, Uttar Pradesh, Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy told that 80 villages of the purchasing center- Lalia, Mathura and Shivpura of Balrampur district have been formally incorporated (registered) in Cooperative Cane Society, Balrampur.

After the formal registration of these villages in Balrampur Society, the registered Cane farmers of these villages will get the right to participate in the election of cooperative Cane Society. The farmers of these villages will also be able to elect their representatives and directors in General Body and Board of Directors in cane Society, Balrampur.

Shri Bhoosreddy said that the Cane farmers of this area have been supplying their cane through the Cane Society, Balrampur since 1994, but because of not having legal registration of these villages, they were not being represented in the Society elections. For registering these villages in Cane Development Society Balrampur, a resolution was unanimously passed by General Body of Cane development society. Keeping in view the problem of farmers and resolution of General Body, Commissioner Cane & Sugar/Registrar, Cooperative Cane development societies U.P., Shri Sanjay R. Bhoosreddy passed the orders for formal registration of these villages in Cane Development Society Balrampur.
Shri Bhoosreddy said that now the farmers of these villages will be able to participate in election of society, Balrampur and they can also take agricultural inputs from the society. The farmers of these villages will also be benefited in various Cane Development activities run by Cane Development Department through various schemes.
