Domestic Market

Stable to firm sentiment reported in domestic prices

Domestic sugar prices have been reported to be stable to firm in the major centers. Prices in major consuming centers increased by Rs 10 per quintal, while prices in major producing centers remained stable. Prices in consumption centers were supported by a thin pipeline.

In Kolhapur, S-grade sugar quintals cost between Rs. 3,620 and 3,650, while M-grade sugar costs between Rs. 3,820 and 3,840. Agrimandi.live estimates that S grade sugar will cost between Rs 3,620 and Rs 3,700 in Kolhapur markets.

International Market

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $704.30 ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 26.50 c/lb.

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 83.190 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.1683, Crude futures traded at ₹6875, Crude WTI traded at $82.33 barrel. Sensex closed 364.06 points higher at 65995.63 whereas Nifty ended 107.75 points higher at 19653.50
