The market witnessed moderate demand.
State wise prices today
◾ Maharashtra:S/30 Sugar rates from millers are ₹3370 to ₹3425/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3475 to 3610/Qntl.
◾ Karnataka : S/30 Sugar rates were ₹3400 to 3470/Qntl. whereas M/30 ₹3550 to 3625/Qntl.
◾ Uttar Pradesh: The rates for M/30 were at ₹3720 to 3750/Qntl.
◾ Gujarat: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3391 to 3501/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3491 to 3591
◾ Tamil Nadu: S/30 Sugar rates are ₹3620 to 3675/Qntl. whereas M/30 rates are at ₹3700 to 3725/Qntl.

International Market:
Yesterday’s Closing:
On Friday sugar sugar prices closed moderately higher on strength in crude prices. London White Sugar closed at $519.70/ton whereas New York Sugar closed down at 20.29 cents per pound.
Market Today:
The London White Sugar front month contract is trading at $522.80/ton whereas the New York Sugar front month contract is trading at 20.45/lb.
Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices:
The rupee traded against the US dollar at 75.388 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 5.5073 Crude futures traded at Rs.6174 Crude WTI traded at $81.92 a barrel. Sensex closed 76.72 points higher at 60,135.78 whereas Nifty ended 50.75v points higher at 17945.95
