In the Domestic sugar market there was not much movement. According to traders, “There was no demand”. Prices were down by Rs.10 to 15/quintal.

International Market

At the time of writing this update London White Sugar #5 front month contract is trading at $686.40/ton, whereas the New York Sugar #11 front month contract is trading at 24.81 c/lb.

Currency, Commodity & Indian Indices

The rupee traded against the US dollar at 82.250 whereas USD was trading with BRL at 4.9886, Crude futures traded at ₹6513, Crude WTI traded at $79.39/barrel. Sensex closed 159.21 points lower at 59567.80 whereas Nifty ended 41.40 points lower at 17618.75
