Germany: Suedzucker plans to increase sugar prices

Berlin: Suedzucker (SZUG.DE), one of the major sugar producers from Germany, plans to hike prices to offset rising operations costs, the Mannheimer Morgen newspaper reported.

Niels Poerksen, chief executive of the company said, “The costs of the beet cultivation and energy are rising. It would be difficult to do business with any profit if we do not increase prices.”
