Maharashtra: Datta Sugar mill to install oxygen plant

Kolhapur: Considering the shortage of oxygen required for treating the coronavirus patients, the Shree Datta Sugar Mill, Shirol has decided to set up an oxygen generation plant. The process will complete within four weeks and the plant will produce daily 100 cylinders of oxygen that will be supplied to the local hospitals, said Ganpatrao Patil, chairman of the sugar mill.

“Oxygen is much needed in treating the coronavirus patients and we are facing the shortage due to sudden rise in demand. NCP chief Sharad Pawar had asked the sugar factories to come forward and set up the oxygen generation units. Following this we have started work to set up an oxygen plant at our mill premises,” he said.
