Over 20 sugar mills revived, five new ones set up during BJP’s Rule: Amit Shah

Lucknow: Union Home Minister Amit Shah has voiced a resolute call for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s third term, citing his significant contributions to the betterment of the underprivileged and farming communities. Speaking at a rally in Muzaffarnagar, Shah highlighted Modi’s initiatives, particularly the formulation of a national policy for sugarcane, which has seen a substantial increase in Fair and Remunerative Prices (FRP) from Rs 210 to Rs 340 per quintal.

Underlining the contrast between governance regimes, Shah underscored the challenges faced during the BSP and SP administrations, with the closure of 19 and 10 sugar mills respectively. Conversely, he pointed to the revival of over 20 mills and the establishment of five new ones during the BJP’s tenure.

Addressing the crowd, Shah emphasised the BJP’s accomplishments, including the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya and the elimination of terrorism in Kashmir. He accused the Congress of obstructing the temple’s construction for seven decades, contrasting it with Modi’s decisive action in fulfilling this longstanding demand.

In a bid to sway voters, Shah distinguished Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and the alleged dynastic rule and corruption associated with the INDI Alliance, comprising parties led by Akhilesh Yadav and the Congress. Encouraging support for BJP candidate Sanjeev Balyan’s reelection bid, Shah urged voters in Muzaffarnagar to rally behind the BJP to achieve the ambitious goal of securing “400 seats.”
