Ludhiana: The Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) has inked a pact with the Upright Foods and Beverages Private Limited, Sitamarhi, Bihar for the commercialisation of sugarcane juice bottling technology.
Sunil Sharma, managing director, Upright Foods and Beverages Private Limited and NS Bains, director of research, PAU signed the MoA on behalf of their respective organisations.
Bains congratulated the whole team for developing a technology that will help to serve fresh bottled sugarcane juice which will be preservative-free and shelf stable.
PAU has already signed five MoAs for sugarcane juice bottling technology with various companies, said Dr. S.S. Chahal, Adjunct Professor, Technology Marketing and IPR Cell.
“The university had so far signed 218 MoAs and commercialised 52 technologies,” said Chahal.
