Mumbai: Sensex closed on May 05, 2020 at 261.84 points lower at 31,453.51. Nifty ended 87.90 points down at 9,205.60.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on May 04, 2020 at 2,002.27 points lower at 31,715.35. Nifty ended 566.40 points down at 9,293.50.
SBI, Bajaj Finance, Britannia Industries, Asian Paints and Tata Motors were among major losers on the Nifty, while gainers were M&M, Power Grid Corp, ONGC, Zee Entertainment and Reliance Industries.
