Mumbai: The equity benchmark indices ended lower today. Sensex closed on 06th October at 555.15 points lower at 59,189.73. Nifty ended 176.30 points lower at 17,646.00.
In the previous season, Sensex closed on 05th October at 445.56 points higher at 59,744.88. Nifty ended 131.05 points higher at 17,822.30.
Hindalco Industries, SBI Life Insurance, IndusInd Bank, JSW Steel and Tata Steel were among the major losers on the Nifty. Tata Consumer Products, ONGC, UPL, Britannia Industries and HDFC Bank were among major gainers.
