State asks sugar mills to use premises for vaccination camps

Pune: Sugar Commissioner Shekhar Gaikwad has asked the sugar mills in the state to take steps to set up a Covid vaccine centre in their respective premises and participate in the vaccination drive in the country.

Gaikwad, in his order, has asked both cooperative and private mills to provide the necessary space for the vaccination process. This will be helpful to the people residing in the sugar mill area to get a vaccination.

Orders have been issued to the Regional Joint Director (Sugar) to communicate with the local health department and administration in their respective region and take steps to set up a vaccination centre.
