Uttar Pradesh: Thieves steal sugar bags from moving truck

Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh: Unidentified men riding motorcycles chased a truck carrying sugar bags and robbed it while the truck was moving at a low speed. They managed to escape with three sugar bags. The incident has been registered with a local police station.

According to the media report, the truck driver Narpal Singh was carrying truck loaded with sugar from Palia sugar mill to Sitapur on Tuesday night when the incident happened. While crossing a bridge on Palia-Bhira highway, he found the road was little damaged so he slowed down the truck speed. At the same time, some suspects followed his truck and tore the sheet which was used to cover the truck. A biker riding in the same direction noticed this and alerted the driver. The driver immediately stopped the truck and after checking it, he found the tampering.

He immediately alerted the police officials and lodged a complaint in this regard. Police are further investigating the case
